Chester is Seeking Volunteers to Serve


Chester is a wonderful town not only because of its physical beauty and surrounding environment, but especially due to its residents and our welcoming spirit, community support, and civic involvement. Our town is vibrant due to the numerous volunteers of all backgrounds. We encourage more people to participate in the business of our town. The town is presently seeking further volunteers to serve on the following boards and commissions:

• Zoning Board of Appeals Alt

• Cable Advisory Council #5

• Citation Review Board

• Grounds & Buildings Maintenance & Oversight

• Harbor Management Commission Alt

• Middlesex County Revitalization Commission

• Regional Mental Health Board

• South Central CT Emergency Medical Services Council

• Tourism Liaison

• Tri-Town Youth Service Bureau

• Planning & Zoning Alternate

This November is also a municipal election. For further information on any of the above positions, or to view Chester’s elected and appointed officials or the upcoming ballot, go to Chester’s town website www.chesterct.org. Click the Town Services tab, then the Town Clerks page to review the Official Listing off Elected Officials and the November ballot. For info on specific boards and commissions, click the Town Services page and the Board or Commission of interest for a summary of their members, scheduled meetings, agenda/minutes and responsibilities.
