Success with 'Soups On': CDR Thanks Tabor Lutheran Church, Programs

The Community Dining Room (CDR) of Branford sends heartfelt thanks to Tabor Lutheran Church and their affiliated programs, Tabor Preschool and Tabor Arts, for hosting a very successful "Soups On" event that solely benefited the CDR, raising over $2,000 for nutritional programs.

The February 23, well-attended event provided each guest with delicious, generous portion. Tabor supplied salad, bread, macaroni-and-cheese and a wonderful selection of hearty soups --Chicken Noodle; Sausage and Kale; Chili; Minestrone and Potato and Corn Chowder. A beverage station and assorted desserts to choose from completed the meal. Volunteers from the CDR worked side by side with Tabor volunteers the day prior, to help prepare for the event.

This first-time event raised $2,102 for nutritional programs.
