03/27/2019 02:33 PMNorth Branford Police Department announced on its Facebook page that a man has been charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, in the fatal crash which caused the death of a motorcyclist, Samuel W. DeSenti III, 60, of North Branford, in April of 2018.
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Foxon Road and Totoket Road on the morning of April 4, 2018.
On March 25, North Branford Police posting the following information about the investigation and subsequent arrest:
"On 4/24/2018 North Branford Police and North Branford Fire Department responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Foxon Road and Totoket Road. North Branford Police and the South Central Regional Traffic Unit investigated this fatal motor vehicle accident. Earlier this morning members of the North Branford Police Department, assisted by Madison Police Department responded to a location in Madison and arrested Teofilo Cabrera. Cabrera was charged with Negligent Homicide with a motor vehicle and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart. Cabrera was held on a $75,000 court set bond and will appear in court today at 10 a.m."
