03/21/2019 12:01 AMThe Essex Land Trust (ELT) hosts a nature walk in which participants are invited to search for collectible art stones hidden along the trail on Saturday, March 23. Each stone portrays a creature that lives in the Canfield-Meadow Woods area. The back of each stone provides a link to The Essex Land Trust website where hikers can discover more about the animals, birds, and insects that live in this preserve. Participants can take home one or more of the 100 stones along the trail. The walk, led and created by ELT volunteers Stephanie Gatto and Susan Scott, starts at 10 a.m. at the preserve entrance located on Book Hill Woods Road. Rain/snow date is March 30.
