N.Y. Man Killed in Crash on I-95 South in Old Saybrook


I-95 Southbound in Old Saybrook was closed between exits 68 and 67 for nearly six hours on Tuesday, March 12 after a tractor trailer truck struck the rear of another truck.

Man Biao Luo, of Flushing, N.Y. was operating a 2003 Freightliner FL112 when the truck in front of him, operated by Sissoko Youssouf, of Houston, Texas, slowed for traffic. Police said that Luo failed to slow down and struck the rear of the Volvo.

Youssouf was transported by Old Saybrook Emergency Medical Services for minor injuries; Luo died at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident

According to police, the Freightliner was registered to JWY33, LLC, a trucking company based out of Maspeth, N.Y. The volvo belonged to 4 U Logistics of New York, N.Y.
