Branford Board of Ed to Meet at Town's Elementary Schools in March, April & May

As part of its effort to "celebrate and showcase" the work of students and schools, Branford's Board of Education's (BOE) next three full board meetings are scheduled to be held among the town's three elementary schools, during the months of March, April and May. The full board usually meets monthly at Branford High School.

Superintendent of Schools Hamlet Hernandez made the announcement on Feb. 21 in an open letter addressed to Branford Public Schools (BPS) parents and guardians and community members.

"We are excited to have students and staff enrich the monthly meeting by highlighting and sharing an initiative the school is embracing throughout the school year. This is a wonderful opportunity to see students interact with the community in an authentic and meaningful manner," Hernandez noted. "Please mark your calendar and join us in celebrating the work of the children and staff. We hope to see you and to share our excitement about the many good things taking place in our schools!"

All meetings will begin at 7 p.m. The BOE will meet at Mary R. Tisko School, 118 Damascus Road, on Wed. March 20; at John B. Sliney School, 23 Eades St., on Wed. April 24 and at Mary T. Murphy School, 14 Brushy Plain Road, on Wed. May 15.
