01/30/2019 06:00 AMSouper Bowl IV took place on Jan. 26 in downtown Madison. Various local restaurants, businesses, and firehouses brought out samples of their best soup or chili for the public to judge, with one soup and one chili declared the winners. The event was hosted by the Madison Chamber of Commerce. Here, volunteers John Ceneri, Michael Hafford, and Kim Chorney serve up vegetarian minestrone soup.
The top chili winner was the North Madison Fire Department followed by Madison Hose Co. 1 and the St. Margaret’s Knight of Columbus. The top soup prize went to Donahue’s Madison Beach Grille followed by the Madison Beach Hotel and Café Allegre.
