The Women’s Club of Madison and the Knitting Group at The Hearth at Tuxis Pond and Solstice in Guilford, recently donated 32 hand-made afghans to the Madison Police Department. The afghans will be kept in the police vehicles to be given to children in crisis situations. The Knitting Group has been meeting at The Hearth every week for 16 years and has made more than 700 afghans for children.
