CFMC: A New Year of Good People Doing Great Things

As another year closes and a new year begins, all of us at the Community Foundation of Middlesex County are honored and humbled by your many kindnesses and your commitment to our community. You continue to amaze us with your generous ways as we strive to improve the quality of life for all in our region. We are excited about the many great things to come in 2019, and thrilled to announce that in December 2018 the Board of Directors approved more than $490,000 in grants to support local programs and services.

Thanks to you, we are able to provide grant support in a broad array of areas and interests, including community enrichment, health, social services, education, recreation, civic improvement, the environment, and animal welfare. Through your gifts of all sizes and designations, you are doing more than you can ever imagine. You are protectors, nurturers, coaches, teachers, and mentors. You are making certain that people escape neglect and abuse and find safe havens as quickly as possible. You are supporting cancer patients and their families through special programs to strengthen not only their bodies, but also their spirits. You’re creating future scientists, environmentalists, computer specialists, and artists. You are investing in our region’s future because of your generous donations.

Your impact doesn’t end there, though. Because of your passion and generosity, those in need will have increased access to free legal information, legal advocacy, and referrals to low-cost attorneys. Music, art, and theater will abound in our community—for all ages and levels of expertise (or none at all)—enriching our lives and our hearts. Middle- and high school students will connect with current trends in the STEAM and robotics field, learning how to create, problem-solve, and develop skills that are essential in today’s—and tomorrow’s—world. Just think—your gift will be the gift that keeps on giving for our neighbors and our community through your support of the community foundation.
