12/30/2018 11:00 PMThe Old Saybrook Fire Dept was dispatched at 2:21 a.m. to report of a fully involved barn fire on Middlesex Turnpike (Route 154). Middlesex Turnpike was closed for a period of three hours.
Sadly none of the animals that were in the barn survived the fire.
Old Saybrook Fire Department received assistance with water tenders from the Essex and Westbrook fire departments.
The Old Saybrook Ambulance and Police Department were also on scene with the Old Saybrook Fire Marshal’s Office.
