12/17/2018 11:00 PMA Branford man is under arrest after he struck his ex-girlfriend and her male friend with his vehicle and then fled to a nearby motel.
Branford Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on East Main Street, on Monday, Dec. 17. A male suspect, identified as Matthew Trammel, 24, of Branford, used his vehicle to strike his ex-girlfriend and her male friend following a domestic dispute. Trammel was arrested as he was attempting to enter the parking lot of a nearby motel.
Trammel was charged with assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, evading responsibility, and reckless driving.
The male and female victims were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. The male sustained serious physical injuries.
