11/26/2018 11:00 PMWestbrook Outlets on Flat Rock Place may have a skating rink by Christmas. The center is planning on opening a 1,600 square foot rink in December in a vacated space across from H&M.
Many of the details are yet to be determined, such as hours of operation and fees, but the plan is to have at least some extended hours beyond those of the shops, said General Manager Melissa Cook. At first, she said, it will be a seasonal rink, but the hope is to eventually keep it open year round.
These are the details available at press time: Patrons may bring their own skates and rentals will be available for those who need them. Rates will be reasonable, Cook said. In addition to open skate time, the rink will offer programs such as introductory lessons, as well as special theme nights. The rink will also have a concession stand.
