11/20/2018 04:06 PMThe Madison Chamber of Commerce is hosting Ladies Night on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. The evening will kick off with check-in at Raveis Real Estate, 709 Boston Post Road, for a free signature cocktail compliments of new Chamber member The Stand Flying Horse Hospitality from 5 to 6 p.m. Ladies will receive a map and list of participating stores as well as a participant wristband.
Participating shops will be open until at least 8 p.m. (many later) and will offer light refreshments in addition to unique specials for the one evening only. Madison retailers will be open until 8 p.m. or later all Thursdays until Christmas.

Next, the Madison Chamber of Commerce sponsors an old-fashioned Downtown Holiday Celebration on Sunday, Dec. 2. As always, visits with Santa Claus will be the center of activity, starting at 2 p.m. with Santa’s arrival on a horse-drawn sleigh. Children are invited to visit with him until 4 p.m. on the porch of the Café Allegre, where cocoa and cookies will be served. Donations of non-perishable food items are always welcome for the Madison Food Pantry.
Hayrides, letters to Santa, firetruck displays Christmas caroling, shopping, and free cocoa are also on order for the day. Coordinated by the Madison Chamber of Commerce, the activities are sponsored by local businesses, a list of which can be viewed at madisonct.com.
