Old Saybrook Garden Club Names Best Gardens

The Old Saybrook Street Garden Participant Awards were handed out in August. The program is designed to foster civic beautification and recognize businesses which make a special effort to use plants and flowers for the pleasure of residents and visitors to the community. This year, there were approximately 70 participating stores, restaurants, and various other businesses around town.

The winners are:

Best New Participant: Ocean Studio Art and Timothy Beacon Pratt Bed & Breakfast

Best Containers: Chalk Mercantile and Middlesex Cardiology

Best Window Box: MAR Floral and Coldwell Banker

Best In-Ground Garden: Saybrook Family Dental and The Knit

Ongoing Excellence: Esty’s
