Guilford Special Education PTO Receives State Recognition

Guilford Special Education Parent Teacher Organization (SEPTO) was presented with the Spirit of SEPTO award by the Connecticut Special Education PTO Alliance at the September Board of Education meeting. Each year, this award is presented to individuals and groups who actively support the advancement of students with disabilities. Guilford SEPTO was founded in 2017 to create collaborative relationships between the Guilford Public Schools, families of individuals with disabilities, and the community through support, education, and empowerment. Guilford SEPTO board members include Co-Chair Kristen Eveland, Co-Secretary Amy Mason-Mann, Co-Secretary Sarah Kellogg, and Parliamentarian Jaye Carlson. Guilford SEPTO school representatives are Kelly Cosgrove, Lauran Barbosa, Jennifer Baldwin, and Jennifer Coppola. Working closely with Guilford SEPTO is Acting Director of Pupil Services for Guilford Public Schools Jason Sconziano.
