Taking Time to Smell the Flowers at the Branford Garden Club’s Flower Show

The Branford Garden Club hosted The Sound and The Flora of Stony Creek flower show on Oct. 6 and 7. The show was displayed among three private homes and six historic buildings throughout the village of Stony Creek. Here, Fred Owsiany looks over one of his favorite flowers, a toad lily, in the horticulture display in the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.

The show is held in a different Branford location every four years. The club uses the event to help support the beautification and maintenance of Branford’s many town gardens.
