North Haven Residents Join Sacred Heart Academy Staff

North haven residents Maura Wilson Coppola and Kara McGuire Redente are among the new staff at Sacred Heart Academy.

Coppola ‘70 has returned to her alma mater as database administrator. She is a graduate of Quinnipiac University, where she earned a B.S. in radiologic sciences and a master degree in health sciences. Coppola worked for Quinnipiac University in the School of Health Sciences for 15 years before joining the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, where she was the director of learning assessment and research for seven years. She is a member of the Catholic Charity League of New Haven and volunteers at the new Fisher House in West Haven. Coppola’s interests include reading, traveling, baking, and entertaining.

Redente ‘99 has joined Sacred Heart Academy as director of marketing and student recruitment. Redente graduated in the top 10 percent of her class from Southern Connecticut State University in 2003 where she was named to Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges, and served as president of the American Advertising Federation and vice president of the National Communication Honor Society. She is a graduate of the Walt Disney World College Program. Redente’s marketing career began in advertising agencies in New York City and Fairfield County where she managed clients including Kellogg’s, M&M’s, Dannon, and Nestlé. Most recently, Redente was a senior marketing manager at Subway World Headquarters where she was responsible for social media strategy. She is also a certified Zumba fitness instructor and teaches at area gyms and fitness studios.
