09/20/2018 12:01 AMJesse MacLachlan, candidate for re-election to the 35th House District, received the unanimous endorsement of the Independent Party of Connecticut last week.
“It is a privilege to have received the endorsement of the Connecticut Independent Party,” said MacLachlan, who was first elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives in 2014. “Although I’m a Republican, I have successfully put politics aside and been an independent legislator throughout my tenure in Hartford, and this endorsement proves it.”
MacLachlan continued, “I am truly appreciative of the Connecticut Independent Party’s support and look forward to continuing to work with them as a state legislator.”
The Independent Party is the third-largest political party in Connecticut and has endorsed several candidates across the state this year.
The 35th House District serves the residents of Westbrook, Clinton, and Killingworth.
