Hagaman Library’s 3rd Annual Health Fair Sept. 29


The Hagaman Memorial Library, 227 Main Street, East Haven, hosts its third annual Health Fair on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can receive free hearing, vision, blood pressure, osteoporosis, and dental advice. There will also be the A1C fasting test for diabetes (for a $5 fee), allergy testing and flu shots (a health insurance card is required for these services).

Other services provided at the fair include:

• Free mammogram sign-up

• Free cancer screenings sign-up

• Benefits screenings (bring a list of income, expenses, and assets)

• Mental health and addiction services

• Volunteer opportunities for seniors

• Food assistance

• Homecare services

• Energy Assistance applications

• Advice from a nutritionist

• Children’s behavioral support services

• Autism and children’s developmental support services

• Physical therapy information

• Learn all about Medicare

• Health benefits of essential oils (free samples provided)

• Rock painting outside on the library lawn for children

The first 50 attendees will receive a free lunch sponsored by Subway Restaurant. Attendees can also participate in a free raffle by picking up a health fair passport/brochure and having it stamped at each table to be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift card, or turn in their brochure before leaving to enter into a random drawing to win a $50 gift card. Drawings are held at 2 p.m.
