09/08/2018 10:38 AMOn Friday Sept. 7, six sets of new nets went into place to finish a two-month project to replace the six tennis courts on the edge of the Branford High School campus on East Main Street.
The outdoor courts were closed for renovations beginning July 9. The project was budgeted at $252,000 as part of the Town of Branford's five-year capital project spending plan.
It was awarded to Hinding Sports Builders of West Haven. Work included tearing out the former courts, rebuilding the base, and installing new surfaces and equipment. The job was estimated to be completed by September 4, 2018.
