21st Annual Steward’s Ace Hardware Bluefish 5K This Weekend

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce and the Shoreline Community Women will host the 21st annual Steward’s Ace Hardware Bluefish 5K Road Race on Saturday, Aug. 18. The race is a single loop of moderate terrain through scenic and shaded back roads in Clinton, beginning and ending at the Jared Eliot Middle School.

Registration, $30, is available on race day or at www.tinyurl.com/Register2018BF5K.

Money raised through this race directly benefits Shoreline Community Women and the Clinton Chamber of Commerce to support free community events, donations, and programs both organizations hold throughout the year.

Free parking is available at The Joel School and Peters Complex on Glenwood Road. Free shuttle buses will run continuously from 7:30 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. when registration closes. Buses will run again following the race. The race includes a certified track, free bag check in, swag bags, cash prize for first and second place overall (men and women), and medals for first, second, and third place in each division and also one award for fastest Clinton resident. There will be multiple vendors on site including pre- and post-race massage.

Race ceremonies and refreshments begin at the conclusion of the race. Chamber member Scottish Dave’s Pub will host Beers for Bibs following the race.
