Suspect Sought in Robbery at Westbrook Convenience Store


State Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a customer at JoJo's Food Mart in Westbrook on Saturday, Aug. 11.

According to police, the victim walked into JoJo's Food Mart, 1309 Boston Post Road, on Saturday, Aug. 11 shortly before 1 a.m. and was waiting at the counter to pay for cigarettes. The victim was holding a bank envelope containing $400 when a black male approached the victim and swiftly pulled the envelope from her hand and ran out of the store. A K9 was dispatched to the area to conduct a track but yielded no results.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s to early 30s. He was wearing a blueish purple hoodie with the hoo pulled up and multi-colored striped shorts. He was last seen fleeing north on Route 1 towards Cafe Routier.
