08/09/2018 12:01 AMGene and Annette Wolcott of East Haven will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18 with their children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at a lunch in their honor in West Haven. The couple met in the sixth grade at the Noble Street School in West Haven and married on Sept. 6, 1958, in West Haven. According to their family, the couple remains active, traveling the world (some 36-plus countries), giving time as volunteers at Hospice in Branford for more than 25 years, sitting on the West Haven High School Class of 1955 Reunion Committee, and attending many of their grandchildren’s events. They attend Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in East Haven together every Saturday afternoon with dinner out after.
