Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties’ North Haven office held its third annual comedy show fundraiser event, A Good Time for a Great Cause, to benefit the Sunshine Kids Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping kids with cancer.

The fundraiser was held on April 14 at the Annex YMA in New Haven and was hosted by New York City-based stand-up comedian Dan Altano. The show also had comedy segments by Ryan Brown, Regina DeCicco, John McCellan, and Johnny Figaro, all from the Comic Strip in New York City. Tickets to this event were $50 and included a buffet-style dinner and drinks.

Chuck Scalesse, office leader of the North Haven office, announced that his team raised more than $10,700 during the event, all thanks to those who attended and the generous sponsors who contributed. The event was sponsored by platinum sponsors Legal Group (annual sponsor) and North Haven Funeral Home (annual sponsor); gold sponsors Linda Acevedo, Realtor (annual sponsor), and Limpiex Cleaning Service (annual sponsor); and silver sponsors Sachs & Biller Attorneys, Wells Fargo Bank, Vaiuso Farms (annual sponsor), AirGas (annual sponsor), and Dichello Distributors (annual sponsor).

In Connecticut and Westchester County, New York, Sunshine Kids Foundation works with children being treated for cancer at both Connecticut and New York hospitals. The money raised will be used toward trips and activities for young cancer patients. For more information on the Sunshine Kids Foundation, visit www.sunshinekids.org.
