The Branford town green is the site of the 34th annual Branford Festival, coming June 15 -17; with the Branford Road Race taking place on Sunday, June 17 as well. Beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 15, Branford Police will put into effect required parking restrictions, road closures and parking permit requirements. Branford Police are notifying residents of road closures, parking restrictions and no parking zones that will be in effect during the 2018 Branford Festival at the town green between Friday, June 15 through Sunday, June 17. Additionally, the morning of Sunday, June 17 involves some extra road closures due to the Branford Road Race. The Branford Festival officially opens at 5 p.m. on Friday June 15.

Branford Police Department has provided the following Community Event information:

No parking will be effect at these locations from Friday June 15, 4 p.m. through Sunday June 17, 4 p.m.: Bradley Avenue (north side to dead end);Hillside North of Rose Street (both sides); Main Street/Montowese to Harrison (both sides); Park Place Post Office to Municipal Lot (west side); Rose Street/Main Street to Laurel (south side); South Main Street/ Montowese to Main Street; Town Hall Drive - Main to Montowese; Silver Street/Rose Street to dead end (both sides).

Additionially, due to the Branford Road Race on Sunday, June 17, there will be No Parking from 8 a.m. - 12 noon on Montowese Street/South Main to Pine Orchard (both sides).

RESTRICTED PARKING/PERMIT REQUIRED locations during the Branford Festival, June 15 - 17: Main Street/ Harrison to Town Hall (Both Sides) Handicapped Permit; Montowese Street/ Main Street to South Main Street (both sides) Food Vending Permit; Taintor Drive/ South Main Street to Main Street (both sides) Festival Staff Permit; Parker Place/ Main Street to private drive at Pasta Cosi (west side)Entertainment Permit.

Due to entertainment scheduled for Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, the following road closures will be in effect:

Friday, June 15 from 4 p.m. - 11 p.m. (until the conclusion of the entertainment and street cleaning):

Main Street/Montowese to Harrison Avenue; Taintor Drive/ South Main Street to Main Street; Town Hall Drive/ Main Street to Montowese Street.

Saturday, June 16 from 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. (until the conclusion of the entertainment and street cleaning):Main Street/Montowese to Harrison Avenue; Taintor Drive/ South Main Street to Main Street; Town Hall Drive/ Main Street to Montowese Street.

Additionially, due to the Branford Road Race on Sunday, June 17, the following road closures will be in effect -- All roads on race course closed from 10 a.m. to Race Finish. In the town center, the following roads will be Closed from 8 a.m. until finish of Road Race: Main Street/Montowese to Harrison Avenue; Taintor Drive/ South Main Street to Main Street; Town Hall Drive/ Main Street to Montowese Street.here for additional information concerning Branford Road Race, including race times and maps.
