05/29/2018 12:00 AMNorth Haven Police have located the body of a missing East Haven man.
North Haven began assisting the East Haven Police Department on Saturday, May 26 in the search for a missing 30-year-old man. North Haven officers located the missing man's vehicle in a parking lot at Peter's Rock on Middletown Avenue at 6 p.m. on May 26. Police and fire personnel began searching the large wooded area using several police K9s and a drone.
The search area was expanded early on Sunday, May 27, and a state police K9 team located the missing man in a dense area of the wooded property far from any of the many trails.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is determining the cause and mannger of death. Police have not yet released the identity of the man.
