Public Meeting May 30 on Branford Connector Corridor Study

SCRCOG Plan to Improve Access at Exit 53, Commercial Parkway, US Route 1

The South Central Regional Council of Governments (SCRCOG) will conduct a public informational meeting concerning the transportation planning study of the Branford Connector Corridor on Wed. May 30 at the Branford Fire Headquarters, 45 North Main Street at 7 p.m. A formal presentation of the study will be followed by a question and answer period.

The Town of Branford, through the South Central Regional Council of Governments (SCRCOG), has prepared a transportation planning study of the Branford Connector Corridor in order to improve the accessibility between I-95 at Interchange 53, Commercial Parkway, and US Route 1. This work would also improve pedestrian circulation throughout the study area and stimulate growth along Commercial Parkway. Corridors studied include: Interstate 95 between Interchange 53 and 54, US Route 1 between Route 142 (Short Beach Road) and Cedar Street; Commercial Parkway; and Cedar Street between US Route 1 and I-95

The public informational meeting is being held to afford a full opportunity for public participation and to allow open discussion of any views and comments the community may have concerning this study.

The Meeting facility is ADA accessible. Auxiliary aids/services and Limited English Proficiency Interpreters will be provided with notice.

If postponement of the Public informational meeting is required due to inclement weather or other conditions, a new date and time for the meeting will subsequently be announced.

The Branford Connector Corridor Study will be on display for public review. SCRCOG personnel, Town of Branford staff and the Study authors will be available during the meeting to discuss the document. Additional information is available at the SCRCOG website: http://scrcog.org/
