Chester Sunday Market Back on Main Street June 10

It’s almost that time of year again: The Chester Sunday Market will have its 2018 debut on Sunday, June 10. The market will be open each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Oct. 14.

According to Market Manager Susan Hotkowski, there will be 20 vendors, all local, offering produce, meat, fish, and poultry, cheese and dairy, bread, pizza, and more.

As always, an up-to-date list of vendors is available at chestersundaymarket.jimdo.com.

“All of the vendors listed on there are definitely coming,” Hotkowski said. “There may still be another one here or there but at this time, and these are our regular vendors.”

At press time, produce vendors included Chatfield Hollow Farm, Deep Hollow Farms, Dondero Orchards, Hunts Brook Farm, Upper Pond Farm, and Wellstone Farm. Frank Andrews Mobile Kitchen is back with wood-fired pizza and Howard’s Bread and Wave Hill Breads will offer baked goods.

Meat and dairy vendors include Four Mile River Farm, The Local Catch, Maple Breeze Farm, Beltane Farm, Farm to Gold Ghee Co., Meadow Stone Farm Artisan Cheese, and Terra Firma Farm, while returning specialty vendors are Biscotti and Beyond, Hay House Flowers, Stonewall Apiary Honey, and Turkeywoods Farm.

Again this summer, Main Street will be completely closed down for the event, allowing customers to freely roam the town and browse each individual vendor. No bands have yet been scheduled for the markets.

The market also offers a community tent, which is available to all local organizations. Organizations interested in setting up a booth for a day are encouraged to visit the market’s website to request a date; as the booth is assigned on a first-come, first served basis, having a few dates as options is a good idea.
