04/19/2018 12:01 AMAshna Patel ’18 of Hamden, Roselynn Thattil ’18 of Monroe, and Michaela Gibbons ’18 of Guilford recently celebrated their Indian background during the Sacred Heart Academy Own Your Story Cultural Fashion Show. SHAdes of SHA, a student organization that promotes recognition of diversity and building unity through education and the celebration of differences, annually hosts Diversity Week, which culminates with a school-wide diversity assembly that includes speakers and the Cultural Fashion Show. This year’s assembly included a performance by Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Yale and a presentation by Syrian artist and architect Mohamed Hafez.
