Honorary Celebration April 26 Also Marks BEHF 20th Anniversary

A mix of ten extraordinary educators and citizens who have served to enlighten members of the Branford community have been named to the Branford Education Hall of Fame (BEHF) Class of 2018. Fans, friends and supporters are encouraged to come out to celebrate the BEHF Class of 2018, when members are recognized for their outstanding contributions to education at a dinner in their honor on Thurs. April 26, at Woodwinds of Branford. Established in 1998, all-volunteer BEHF turns 20 this year.

Nominations are submitted annually by the public, with the inductees then selected by vote during a public meeting discussing all new nominations each January. The Class of 2018 now joins a roster of over 200 Hall of Famers listed, by year, at the BEHF website (www.branfordeducationhalloffame.com ), which serves as a virtual Hall of Fame.  In addition, names of new inductees are inscribed on a bookplate in books donated to Branford Public School libraries annually through BEHF's "Susan Spear Book Project." Since the project began, nearly 1200 books have been donated.

The members of the BEHF Class of 2018 are, in alphabetical order:
