• Lauren Nicole Elmasry of Branford High School was honored with the Mary Clap Wooster Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Award at recent awards ceremony and luncheon. Elmasry was chosen by her schools for demonstrating good citizenship, leadership, service, honor, and courage.

Charitable Efforts
The Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Association recently held its annual Stocking Stuffing Social. Traditionally, it donates all of the stockings to the Student Council to distribute, but this year, the Leadership Team, which included Rosegarden Committee Chairperson Rita-Marie Rossetti of Branford, challenged local alumnae to double the number of stockings created so that a portion of the stockings could be donated to a local school. Because of the alumnae connection, the decision was made to donate them to John Martinez School in Fair Haven, where Jackie Coady is assistant principal.
