In Business: Caffé Marche

Caffé Marche, located in Old Saybrook’s historic James Pharmacy, serves local cheese and charcuterie, handmade pasta, and fresh-made gelato. The café is open Tuesday to Sunday for breakfast, lunch, espresso, and cappuccino.

This authentically-Italian café is proud to serve the simple recipes and fresh flavors of Marche (pronounced Mar-KAY).

Caffé Marche seeks to make guests feel as if they’ve been transported to Marche and are at a café gazing out at a piazza. The café also offers exclusive, intimate chef’s dinners available by RSVP only. BYOB is encouraged.

“Just as this building was passed down from Peter Lane to his niece Miss Anna James, the authentic Italian recipes that we’re preparing today have been handed down from generation to generation,” said the café’s Kim Hurley. “Now, we’re proud to bring them to Old Saybrook.”
