NHPD: Arrest Made in April 2017 Credit Card Fraud Case

North Haven Police have arrested one of three men who they say used fake credit cards to make purchases at a movie theater on Universal Drive in April 2017.

According to police, three men purchases over $1,200 worth of gift cards from the Cinemark movie theater on Universal Drive in April 2017. The investigation revealed that the three men traveled to four different Cinemark locations making thse fraudulent purchases. One of the suspects was identified as Yvan Medina, 24, of Wallingford.

Medina was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 3. He was charged with credit card fraud, conspiracy, illegal furnishing of goods, and unlawful reproduction of credit cards. Medina was held on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Friday, Jan. 5.
