12/17/2017 11:00 PMEast Haven Police have arrested a New Haven woman for stealing a cancer donation jar from East Haven Discount Wine and Liquors in November.
According to police, after releasing surveillance video footage and still photos of the theft to the media, tips came pouring in from the community. The suspect was identified as Nicole Bova, 37, of New Haven. Once contact was made with Bova, she admitted her involvement in the theft and cooperated fully with the rest of the investigation.
She turned herself into police headquarters on Friday, Dec. 15. once an arrest warrant was issued. She was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and was released on a $500 court set bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 29.
