On Oct. 21, the Westbrook Elks #1784 Golf Tournament Committee donated $7,500 to the Fisher House of Connecticut.

The Fisher House of Connecticut will open in December on the grounds of the West Haven V.A. Hospital, and will provide lodging for families of veterans receiving treatment at the hospital.

Over the past five years, the Westbrook Elks have donated more than $28,000 to the construction of the first Fisher House in Connecticut. In the future, proceeds from the golf tournament will be used to support the operation of the Fisher House.
