Awards and Recognitions

• Diane Arnold of Essex Savings Bank has received a 2017 Woman of FIRE award by The Commercial Record. Women of FIRE is an annual award that recognizes the key female players in the local FIRE (Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate) sector. The annual Women of FIRE award celebrates the best and the brightest women in the industry. Diane is a vice president, senior commercial loan officer/senior loan administration manager at Essex Savings Bank. She was recognized for the career she has built in commercial banking. Beginning as a teller, her former titles include credit analyst and assistant vice president. Under Arnold’s leadership, the bank’s commercial loan portfolio has increased by more than $31 million in the course of three years. Her attention goes beyond commercial lending as she serves as a mentor to many individuals in the lending area. In addition to Arnold’s professional attributes, she was also recognized for her philanthropic work including the last eight years volunteering for organizations that aid the elderly. Arnold was one of 14 women named this year’s Women of FIRE.

Additions and Promotions

• Mike Abramson of Chester has been elevated to general manager of the Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The Yard Goats just finished their first season at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford and attracted 395,196 fans, the most of any professional baseball team in the history of Connecticut. Earlier this summer, Dunkin’ Donuts Park was the winner of the “Best of the Ballparks” vote from Ballpark Digest, Ballpark of the Year by Baseballparks.com, and Best Place to see a game by Connecticut Magazine.

• Nathan Bordeleau was promoted to credit officer and assistant treasurer. Bordeleau joined Essex Savings Bank in April 2013 as a credit analyst, and was promoted to senior credit analyst in June of 2016. Bordeleau received his B.S. in business administration from Northeastern University and an M.S. in accounting from the New England College. He and his family currently reside in Gales Ferry.

• Dana Gibson of Old Saybrook has joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Essex office. She comes to Coldwell Banker with a background in land purchase for use in renewable energy, asset management for wind and solar facilities, sales, marketing, and customer service.

Accomplishments

• Carol Ochsenfeld, realtor of Page Taft Christie’s International Real Estate, became a LeadingRE Sales Specialist (LSS) and a LeadingRE Service Expert (LSE) after completing two certification programs from the network’s training and development division—Institute. Ochsenfeld elected to pursue the LSS certification for its comprehensive foundation in critical and proven sales skills to enhance performance for her clients and the LSE certification for its comprehensive foundation in critical and proven customer service skills to enhance performance to deliver exceptional customer service to her clients.
