North Haven Businesses Support Toy Drive

NOW Security Systems & Ansir Communications in North Haven are sponsoring a toy drive that will benefit the Yale New Haven Hospital Toy Closet. Donations will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 15, and those interested can drop off donations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the businesses’ location at 380 Washington Avenue Suite 6 and 7.

Toys (no weapons), books, arts and crafts supplies, school supplies, and child-friendly DVDs and PC games will be accepted. Monetary donations and gift cards in $5 amounts are welcome as well, and will be used to purchase additional items.

Melissa Kieslich, who works for both companies, said her son Russell is the one who spearheaded the cause. Her son, a Green Acres Elementary School student, went to several area businesses to ask to post flyers about the cause and leave boxes for donations. Kieslich said several businesses agreed to do both.

NOW Security Systems & Ansir Communications wanted to thank the Green Acres art teacher Sheri Schwarz, her daughter Ingrid, Russell Kieslich, and his 5th-grade classmates for volunteering to paint the front windows of our business for the toy drive.

Kieslich said she and her son would go around to the businesses to pick up the boxes after the donation period is over and deliver them to the Toy Closet.
