Freda Easily Earns Fifth Consecutive Term in North Haven


The election results for North Haven are in. For first selectman, incumbent Republican Michael Freda defeated Democratic challenger Alan Sturtz, 4,616 votes to 1,094.

For Board of Selectmen, William Pieper (R) received 3,654 votes, Sally Buemi (D) received 1,761 votes, and Anthony Paul Fronte (I) received 139 votes. Pieper and Buemi will serve on the board.

The Town Clerk/Tax Collector will be Stacey Yarbrough. Yarbrough (R) received 3,972 votes while Spinato-Grant (D) received 1,543 votes.

The Town Treasurer will be Laurie-Jean Hannon. Gifford (D) received 1,574 votes while Hannon (R) received 3,950 votes.

For Board of Finance, Danielle Morfi (D) received 1,614 votes, Michael Hallahan (D) received 1,765 votes, James Lianos (R) received 3,720 votes, and Dyann Vissicchio (R) received 3,719 votes. The seats will be filled by Lianos, Vissicchio, and Hallahan.

For the Board of Education, Kari Swanson (D) received 1,737 votes, Amanda Gabriele (D) received 1,746 votes, Joseph Solimene (R) received 3,699 votes, and Goldie Adele (R) received 3,574 votes. The seats will be filled by Solimene, Adele, and Gabriele.
