The North Haven Rotary Club held its 16th annual Wine and Roses event at the Forget Me Not Flower Shop on Sept. 24, and both organizers and winemakers were happy with the turnout.

Rotary member Guy Casella said that the event gets bigger and better every year. Member Michael Hallahan said he hopes the community will accept the event as a tradition knowing the benefits it has, as all proceeds will go to local charities and causes.

Winemakers also enjoyed another year of Wine and Roses. Rob Ciccarelli said it’s awesome that the Rotary holds an event like this, and George Kulp said it’s a great event because the Rotary uses it to give back to the community. Joe Mackay said he comes every year and has a great time, adding that the Rotary does a great job and the event is great for the community.

Rotary President Brian Coughlin reported that the 16th annual Wine and Roses was very successful, with approximately 500 to 600 attendees throughout the day.
