10/19/2017 12:01 AMThe North Haven Garden Club is happy to announce the 2017 recipients of the club’s Beautification Awards: Laura Falco, Celeste Hocs, Frank Pascale, and Montowese Health and Rehabilitation. This year, 10 gardens were nominated and viewed in late August, including eight homes and two businesses. Again, three winning gardens at private homes and one business were chosen. The gardens were viewed and judged this year by North Haven Garden Club members Lee Fermo, Sandy Ginter, Cindy Golia, Lynda O’Donnell, and Marge Quinn. Each garden was visited, evaluated, and scored by organization, creativity/expression, plant material, and overall impression. Scores were tallied and the winners were awarded Certificates of Achievement.
