The Scranton Memorial Library had a special prize for the Summer Reading Program “Build a Better World.” That prize was a trip to school by firetruck courtesy of Madison Hose Company No. 1. All the students who completed level eight of summer reading had the chance to enter a special raffle to win this prize. The winning student was Landon Hendershot.

Landon read 86 books over the summer and recorded 4,760 minutes of reading time, which equals 79 hours and 20 minutes. Landon is a 4th grader at Ryerson School. He arrived at Ryerson by Fire Truck on Sept. 26. He was accompanied by his two brothers, Noah and Hudson, as well as his mom.
