Saybrook’s Youth & Family Services Agency Moves Home

Last week the town’s Public Works Department crews were adding new soil to the planting beds and cleaning up debris left at the site of Youth & Family Services Agency’s Main Street home. The last step, the rebuilding of the front porch as a second building exit, was to be completed last week. With exterior upgrades to the agency’s Main Street home now completed, the Youth & Family Services Agency staff moved back in this week.

The project includes new EZEK composite siding, a new concrete entrance ramp, and new blown-in insulation in the walls. Lead paint issues also have been abated. The project is intended to extend the life of the building for more than 50 years.
