First Selectman Joe Mazza Honored with Guilford School’s Friend of Education Award

At convocation ceremonies on Aug. 28, Guilford Public Schools recognized First Selectman Joe Mazza with its Friend of Education award for his dedication to the students, staff, and families of the school district and for his leadership to the Town of Guilford. The Friend of Education award has been created to recognize an organization or individual who has made a positive contribution to the Guilford Public Schools community. Past recipients of the award include the Guilford Public Schools PTOs, Guilford Youth & Family Services, the Guilford High School Building Committee, the Community Task Force on School Facilities, the Guilford Fund for Education, Team Guilford, Guilford Youth Mentoring, and the Guilford Emergency Management Team.
