Guilford Foundation Provides $12,300 Worth of Scholarships to 12 College-Bound Graduates

The Guilford Foundation recently presented scholarship awards totaling $12,300 to 12 Guilford High School graduates to help offset the costs of their education. The records of these students reflect their hard work and commitment to personal development and inspiring hope in the future citizenry of the town. The 12 students who were awarded scholarships include Benjamin Cousins (University of South Carolina; Stephen A. Looney Fund), Claire Dinauer (University of California, Los Angeles; Carl A. Balestracci, Jr., Humanitarian Fund), Molly Kosh (Skidmore College; Stephen A. Looney Fund), Jordan Krause (Villanova University; Jake Penman Memorial Fund), Luke McNamara (University of Notre Dame; Stuart D. Burt Fund), Olivia Mirek (Georgetown University; Elizabeth M. “Lizzie” Schwanfelder Scholarship Fund), Emily Nolan (St. Olaf College; Elizabeth C. Adams Fund), Zachary Rodes (Duquesne University; Ralph Schipani Scholarship Fund), John Wettemann (University of Massachusetts, Amherst; Al and Gene Bishop Fund for Vocational & Industrial Arts), Thomas Wiesler (Yale University; Carl A. Balestracci, Jr., Humanitarian Fund), Ryan Xie (Brandeis University; Elizabeth C. Adams Fund), and Megan Zampano (Quinnipiac University; Ralph Schipani Scholarship Fund).
