Meet Mya

Mya is a 2 year-old female purebred white German shepherd. She came to Valley Shore Animal Welfare League (VSAWL) because she wasn’t getting along with her other cat housemates and it was becoming too much for the home. Mya may be hesitant with people with whom she isn’t familiar in the beginning, but she warms up quickly. She has plenty of energy and would be great as a hiking or running partner. Mya is better with older children and needs to be the only animal in the home. She is up to date with her vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and is spayed. If interested in Mya, call VSAWL at 860-399-7561 for more information.

VSAWL currently has space available for adoptable dogs and cats that need to be relinquished. If you or someone you know needs to rehome their cat or dog, call manager Christy Moore at 860-399-7561 for more information.

VSAWL is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter located in Westbrook, open five days a week (Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Calling ahead is recommended for availability. All animals live on site and can be viewed for consideration for adoption.

To see who else is waiting for a home at the shelter, visit www.valleyshoreanimalwelfareleague.org and www.facebook.com/VSAWL as well as www.petfinder.com.
