09/07/2017 12:01 AMGuilford American Legion Auxiliary Unit #48 announced the recent recipients of this year’s Laurel Girls State winners as Alexis Sattler and Mia Eschinger.
Laurel Girls State is a five-day program for high school junior girls to learn about the procedures of government, both local and state, with a direct, hands-on experience. The program was from June 25 to 30 at Post University in Waterbury. The cost of the program for each girl is paid for by the unit with the help of a donation from the American Legion Post #48.
