09/07/2017 12:01 AMEast Haven’s 2017 Merit Award honorees Sue Lowe, Gail Nettleton, and Steve “Big Steve” Tracey will receive their awards at the annual banquet held on Thursday, Sept. 7 at the Country House Restaurant in East Haven beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets for the event are $50 and may be obtained by contacting Annarose Russo (203-996-7139), Bob Sand (203-410-3269), or Ann Murray (203-996-1239), or they can be purchased at the Mayor’s office in Town Hall.
The Merit Awards, which recognize East Haven residents who have made contributions for the betterment of the Town, are annually presented at the Merit Award Dinner, which is the kickoff for East Haven’s largest event, its annual Fall Festival, being held Friday, Sept. 8 to Sunday, Sept. 10 on the Town Green. The East Haven Fall Festival is now in its 26th year.
