Pauline Condon and Linde Nobile are helping to organize and spread the word about a Bingo event taking place on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the East Haven Senior Center, located at 91 Taylor Avenue. The doors will open at noon and Bingo will begin at 2 p.m.

Condon said that a Sunday is generally a good day for families to get together and participate during the daytime.

“Most of the Bingos that we find are at night, and our people, they don’t like to go out at night, and this is a great way, on Sunday afternoon, that the people can get together and not worry about having to drive too far at night,” said Condon.

Condon and Nobile said they held a similar event in May, and people enjoyed it so much they’ve been asking when they could come again on a Sunday. Condon and Nobile hope to organize an event like this once every few months, saying that it’s a good “get together.”

The reason the two are starting to get the word out so early was that some people simply didn’t know about the one in May, and they want as many people as possible to know about it so anybody can come out and enjoy it.

Coffee and water will be served, and attendees can bring their own snacks.
