MariaGrazia Scarano Receives Regional Scholarship

The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy, Lodge #2805 named MariaGrazia Scarano as the winner of this year’s Regional Scholarship for $1,000. Scarano graduated in June from North Haven High School and will enter Sacred Heart University in the fall to pursue her goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. In addition to the scholarship, the lodge will carry Scarano as a member while she is enrolled in school and for one year after graduation. The lodge will also provide a one-year membership for one of her parents.

The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy, Lodge #2805 competitive regional scholarship is open to graduating public high school students of Italian heritage from North Haven, North Branford, Hamden, and Wallingford who wish to further their education at any college, university, or technical school. Graduating seniors whose parents/grandparents are lodge members are also eligible to apply for additional scholarships.
