John Tedeschi, a member of Boy Scout Troop 428 in Branford and 2017 graduate of Branford High School (BHS), recently achieved the rank of eagle scout. His eagle scout project was to identify and mark some of the trees along the Killam’s Point Nature Trail in Branford. Killam’s Point is owned by the First Congregational Church of Branford where Tedeschi is a member. Tedeschi made wooden markers for the trees and created a brochure with pictures and descriptions of the trees for educational purposes.

Tedeschi participated in a 10-day hike at Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in New Mexico in 2014. He also belongs to the FCCB senior youth group and has been on four mission trips with the church. John was a member of the BHS Concert Choir, Music Makers, and Concert Band, and also participated as a percussionist in the Neighborhood Music School Wind Ensemble throughout high school. Tedeschi’s Eagle Scout Ceremony was held on July 11 at the Blackstone Library.
